Handicap Accessibility

To Guests with Wheelchairs

  • In the parking lot there are accessible spaces for wheelchair access.
  • Excluding certain parts of the nature trail, most of the pathways are accessible.
  • Wheelchairs are available for checkout. (Please ask at the Ticket & Information Center)
  • The museum is a 2-story building with elevators inside the building.
  • A wheelchair accessible bathroom is located inside of the museum at the right end of the entrance hall on the first floor.
  • Wheelchair accessible bathrooms in the garden are located in two places; "before the left fence as one enters the main gate" and at the "right side of the square located in the back of garden." (The latter men's room requires the support of a caregiver.)

To Guests with Children

  • Strollers are available to checkout at the reception desk of the museum. (Usage areas are limited to the inside of the museum.)
  • A private room for feeding babies is available inside of the museum. Please ask at the reception desk.
  • A bathroom with a diaper-changing stand is located inside of the museum at the right end of the entrance hall on the first floor.
  • A bathroom with a diaper-changing stand is located in the garden before the left fence as one enters the main gate.

To Guests with Disability Books

  • When purchasing tickets, please show your disability book to receive a discount.
  • For each disability guest, one attendant receives a discount as well.

Regarding Entries of Sevice Dogs

Guests may enter the museum and restaurant with guide dogs, hearing dogs or mobility service dogs.
*Pets other than service dogs are not permitted to enter the garden and museum.
